E36 Saloon petrol flap

Hello. On my 97 E36 saloon the petrol flap lock is not locking. Can anyone help ? Ive went to breakers & put another lock on, however no joy.

It'll probably be the solenoid that activates the lock you need, and i'd check the wiring to it, also check the central locking controller
