My 3-piece Hartge - Fitted with pics...

I spent all day yesterday rebuilding my car, I fitted the following new parts:

Front bumper
Sport grill bars (vertical bars removed)
Custom moulded fog light air ducts
Front splitter
Rear bumper
Rear diffuser
Bootlid
smoothed petrol flap
Rear carbon lip spoiler
Smoked front indicators
Osram Bulbs
Crystal side repeaters
Hartge boot badge

...Hartge 3-piece split rims.

The wheels were bought new about 7 months ago and have been split, sprayed and refitted with custom dishes and custom centre badges.

SEE HERE FOR MORE INFO

Further to what you see below I'm awaiting delivery of some German style plates, I'm also trying to get hold of some genuine Hartge E36 mirrors and a few more interior goodies. Other than that I just need to spend some time revising the stance/damping on the coilovers so that she sits as low as possible to the deck!

I've not got many decent pics, I took all these while in my boxer shorts outside my house, the night time ones my mate took - I'm waiting to give her a proper clean - then i'll get some proper decent pics!

why did you paint the centres?

that wasnt nessary. i dont understand why people do this. you cant make out the shape of the inner wheel.

he painted the centres probably because he wanted them to
match some of the other black bits around the car and red and
black generally make a nice combination.

and it also sets of the dishes as you see how wide they really are against
the black centres.

each to their own though i suppose

The car looks very nice fella. I'm not at all keen on angel eyes or the eyebrows and I wouldn't have fitted the hartge badges but that's just my taste. It looks so much better than your average generic M3 lookalike. 8)

How deep is the front splitter? In the pics it looks perilously close to the ground yet you still seem to have a gap between the tyre and the front arch thet looks like it needs the coilovers winding down a bit more. Maybe some thin spacers bringing the wheels out more would help too?

Anyway - good skills I think it rocks.

Maybe not in a digital photo - but you can when you see them 'in the metal'. It's impossible to photograph my Hartge wheels but they look awesome in reality (IMHO).

Hiya mate, I know what you're saying about the splitter... I'm looking into a carbon fibre evo lip alternative, that way i can wind it down to lose the arch gap! I think i'll switch between the two as the coilovers can be set pretty easily.

As for the angels, they are definately staying, although alot of people have said to lose the carbon brows... personally I do like them, especially with the angels on, but I'm noticing a big trend to lose eyebrows and might remove them on the temp just to see which I really do prefere!

Agreed with your comment about wheels in photos also, black wheels are hard to capture on camera but in reality they are clear to make out, especially under street lighting!
