My e36 needs a set of new boots in 225 50 16 and after doing a search on here I've come to the conclusion Avon tyres are not really rated against some other brands.
My question is is that across the board of all the types of Avon tyres ?
I can get Avon zv7 fitted price at £67 each which looks good value if you look at the tyre label rateing ...
Wetgrip ....A
Fuel efficiency.... C
(Second one down on the list linked below)

Has anybody had any experience with them?
Thanks

Previous generations were lethal in the wet but I've no experience of the current version. An "A" rating would suggest they've improved.

We stock Avon ZV7s at work, a regular customer has put them his Audi TT and claimed they're decent.

No experience of them, but if the ratings are to be believed, they're one of the best performing tyres in the whole list, and at that price, fitted, I wouldn't hesitate.

Thanks for everyone's input. Think I'm going to bite the bullet and get them ordered.
Going by the label they should be good.

I had Avons on my last e39. Ditchfinder's that were ditched very quickly in favour of Kuhmos. Which transformed the car. On my experience, I pass on any Avons when I'm now searching for tyres.

possibly upped their game, but like most, i avoid.

i'd consider the Hankook 125 or the uniroayal rainsport 3's for pretty much the same price
