I know the owner tragically died in an accident the other week, it'd be a shame if the forum went down like BMWland did, forum5 and the zone are the only 2 I ever go on these days. Hopefully it'll be back up soon

'tis down which is a shame as I was enjoying reading the thread about the chap who recently purchased an E28 518i. Worthy of Zone Gold or whatever their equivalent is! Jonb's comment about the engine dismantling cracked me up. :D

Paul Hunter aka E28 Warrior, a known fruitcake.
Buys a518i unseen for 1200 quid.
Finds the engine has poked a rod through the sump.
Talks about rebuilding it.
Is pointed in the direction of a perfect running engine for 150 quid.
Has it delivered and then takes the head off to make it easier to transport.

Riiiiiight.....

Against my better judgement I paid a tenner last week to upgrade to Gold status to sell some E28 bits. Big mistake!

I'm sure it'll be back up and running, my favourite forum as I can't afford another e30! Or e34 for that matter now! It's a great resorce for my current e39 fleet! Fingers crossed there will be some good news soon!

If the site owner has tragically passed away then he obviously can't pay the hosting fees for the site.

I wouldn't be so sure it will be back?

How would anyone get ownership of the site.

Ps. Maybe Steve should get the Zone written into his will. :)

Clearly something to do with that chap passing away. It's not a bad forum tbh, although it's fairly quiet. Needs to get back on its feet soon as we won't be abill to see how e28_warrior has restored the car with using only his teeth. a˜€

I think as a few years have gone by its been as busy as the zone, the zone seems fairy quiet from when I was more active on here a few years back, I guess there's not so many e30s about like they used to be a few years back, I'd love another 325i sport one day but the e34 v8s have totally got me addicted to 8 pots now!!

That would be the dream! But finding a conversion or carrying one out is far beyond my budget for a good few years!

Managed to get an update via another forum, there is a few issues the mods are sorting out, but the forum will be active again fairly soon.

I was the under bidder on that car, the extra tenner he spent on placing the next bid has given me lots of amusement ! :D

His latest hirschmann shadowline erection is a thing of beauty !
