Mate of mine has one exactly the same but with air-conditioning, picked it up in Feb for £800 from someone that couldn't get the M20 running 
Its currently on axle stands at my place lined up for a period 3.4 transplant

I've got a really bad itch for a 525e , woud make a lovely retro commuting barge.

I have a manual 520 with a 2.5 sport engine in at the mo, just needs a little bit of wiring in ....also the 4.4 V8 to drop in when my other projects are finished

S5xb32 transplants are becoming common on E28s. .. wouldn't mind a m535i myself

I use a 525e as a daily tram when i'm not in my golf derv, sadly it's been a while since i used it”¦ They are a great all rounder but don't expect to go anywhere in a rush
