She starts up and runs fine but try and put it under load and it chugs just like a miss-fire.
No water loss and oil ok, temperature fine as well.
I took no1 lead off and clear water came out , not a great deal but it was there. I dried it off quickly and it still ran the same.
Any ideas please?
Mart.

Remove and clean up all of the rubber boots for the plugs and coils. The plugs are normally about 1000 years old on most E36's.

What do you suggest I replace them with?

hey mart
I sold you a ccv and sent a few other bits from my troublesome m44 a while back, i went through the leads on mine too. You can check their resistance before swapping as they may be OK. I found the resistance value online, and firstly changed 1 lead , then i fitted a new set - it made no difference!
another thing to check might be a loose CAT in your exhaust, mine broke of and would restrict the car to 40mph
also worth cleaning the idle valve as this used to give me issues, did i sent you mine?

Hi mate, Thanks for the reply.
I took a punt and bought a second hand coil pack and set of leads (£30) and popped them on last night and all seems to be well.
Many thanks guy`s.
Mart.
