e39 540i standalone/piggyback what's available, what's been tested?

I've got a 1998 e39 540i manual. just finished making headers and got her running. also fitted m5 lsd, lightweight flywheel, m5 clutch, e60 short shift, k&n panel filter, rebuilt timing gear etc etc. now got my eye on a supercharger. so as per tittle I would like to ask what is available for management. not wanting a dinan/ess etc generic tune as i'll be running intercooler and upping the boost. got a little experience with megasquirt but happy to try something new. Any input greatly appreciated

had a look at their website. as far as i can tell 6 cylinder is their max as only 6 coil and injector drivers. ms3 pro seems to tick all the boxes though. what have you got in your m42

I'm running Emerald, Megasquirt was very new when finished mine.

Dave is running a turbo LSx in his rx7 so it definitely does 8 cylinders

See trends.

hmm I'll have to look into it. Not got the charger yet anyway. Just waiting for the seller to get back to me. Vems seems to be pretty popular too. Lots to think about
