£6500 for a turd like an E21 323i? What a short memory folk have- or potential buyers haven't got a clue. I guess it's the same reason a DB5 is 500 grand.....a great car until you drive it.

£6500 would buy a superb E36 M3 saloon that would eat that sorry shitbox for breakfast and fart it out in small chunks.

£85k you could get M3 Sport Evolution or a nice supercar
Ferrari F430, Aston Martin V12 Vantage, Ferrari 550/575M Marenello or Porsche 997.2 Carrera GTS.
Hmmm that or a very overpriced E30 ?

Or you could do something really stupid and spunk your 85k on a carboned up E46 M3 with a spastic gearbox. An overhyped turd with zero competition history or historical significance :)

M3 CSLs are not £85k yet
Anyway by andyboy's Logic why would you want a Sport Evo when you can have M3 CSL which would run rings around M3 Sport Evolution

The historical significance is first widespread use of CFRP and the engine with the greatest specific power per litre
And the ultimate NA I6

The Citroen SM could be bought with carbon fibre wheels in the early 70s and the Honda S2000 had a higher specific output in 2000. Obviously FACTS like this will not be found on Gutterz :)

The specific power per litre output comment I was referring to BMW's history
And is the greatest NA I6 engine :-)

What do you think when you see someone driving a Ferrari F430 down the road?

I generally think cunt.

Most people with plenty of money and buy nice new expensive cars are cunts.

I was MOT'ing a Ferrari 360 a while back, I was trying to get it through the emissions by revving it at nearly 4k as that's when it met the limits. The guy came in the workshop F'ing and blinding at me. Needless to say it then failed on emmisions and he was never to be seen again.

Somebody who owns an E30 M3 Sport EVO is a much more sophisticated chap :)

will they will ever reach 85k?
one would hope that BMW could produce a car in 2005? that might run rings around a car built back in 1990, a lot can happen in 15 years :)

do you have a CSL pony?

I wish.
Unfortunately not.

Who knows they may hit £85k.

This. Ferraris and Porsches get so much hate. Driving around in either seems to attract a more venomous brand of public loathing than killing children.

Conversely Astons seem to be liked by everyone and their Mum.

If it's a decent colour (black) it's nearly excusable, you can just about hope it's a daily being used to keep the miles off the monteverdi :-)
