What would you pay for a BMW B5 5 series?
Car has full main dealer service, all original Alpina paperwork etc
Apart from a few stone chips and slight corrosion to one of the wheels its immaculate even the interior is mint.
Why am I asking this and not just looking on auto trader and making my own decision on price, well its got about 207k on the clock.
I've driven it it seems very solid and pulls well got a few nice touch's not sure if extras like electric rear blind, blinds for the rear windows, heated and cooled seats that also have electrically adjustable bolsters like the M5, heads up display and sat nav and uprated speakers.
looks just like this one in the pic same wheels colour etc........

Well its very cheap for a 200mph super saloon that would have cost £70+K when new but its done 200k miles.
Whats the history like?

Whats the history like?
Full main dealer, mostly Sytner Nottingham then Sytner Leicester, owned by 2 doctors both friends hence the pass down of the car

Worth 6K all day long, the wheels alone 2nd hand fetch very good money, the mileage is pretty huge but if its got a full dealer history you can't really go wrong TBH.

I love the way the wheel caps lock, very neat, bet its baffled a few wheel thieves at times.

Worth a tickle then, its not a percy car, would just send it straight to block if I think there's a profit in it, be nice to bag a grand profit

You have clearly not driven it yet, you won't want to sell it when you open it up.
they're quite quiet theres not a huge V8 roar or supercharger whine but the 500bhp and 500lbs can't be argued with
they don't sell that quick and one with that milege will scare people big time. They have a rep for eating chargers which isnt entirely justified
I'd enjoy it first, and yes i've driven one. Epic car

Indeed,,,, the S/C is the main issue,, or else if the car have a full history its a stunning daily driver
and i agree with Simon,, they are VERY fast,, and fantastic power-delivery
but i havent driven one ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Is this the car?

Looks like a trader has bought it. You should have bit their arm off at £6K. You could have made a nice profit.

Anybody could have had a serious eric out of that. But there is more to life than a big profit. Pac likes a challenge , he has invested his money in a £200 E39 which is a regas and a couple of fuses away from being prime retail stock

If you don't believe me I still have some if the paperwork with the reg on etc happy to take a custard test photo for you.
I refuse to lose money on cars hence why all the cars I drive personally are old shit boxes can't go wrong then and you don't have to care where you park or leave em
I could not afford to run a car like the Alpina, nor could I afford the repair bills if it went wrong, and would be gutted if I left it outside tesco to find someone has hit it, I don't need to worry about a cheap E39

Good man and nicely served ! What did it make in the auction ? 8-9k ? The hero retailing it is trying his luck but as they say, fortune favours the brave ! . You would need to be brave to run a 200k one of these , I bet they make a Biturbo look low maintenance

Good on you pac!! - let the head decide rather than the heart. Lovely car, but as you've already pointed out it comes with frightening maintenance and running costs.

If you find out who's purchased it I still have the contact details of the chap I purchased it from to confirm the mileage.
Dealers like this need to be put out of business, BCA should have a record of its true mileage as well
It should also show up on HPI as having an NMR discrepancy as I did a full check with the real mileage and all the previous MOTS will show this too.
To be fair if anyone buys this without doing a HPI check they are a bit foolish anyway, sad thing is its probably worth more as a car with an NMR discrepancy than one with over 200 thousand on the clock
