Had to get another car cuz my poor little E30 cab has finally died,
So i brought this little 318is off a friend of a freind for 400 without any mot.
Had to fit some new rear pads and fit two new bulbs, gave it some new plugs oil looked cleanish so all good.
Took it for an mot an passed with an advisery on an oil leak,so happy with that.
It drives nice an smooth and hugs the corners nicely, but since its gone i`ve had to change the battery, only left it for two days and wouldnt start.
The problem i`ve got is that in the morning when its cold it starts but the starter sounds all weird and takes a bit longer to start and when it catches it runs lumpy n put put for about 30 to 60 seconds and then runs fine, starts normal all day after that.

Looks like a nice motor, nice to see an e36 thats not rusted to death.! I'd consider ditching those e46 m3 replicas wheels and get some proper motorsport rims though, they'd really set the car off and suit the vintage.

Its not a bad little car, there`s a little bit off bubbling on the boot lid.
Not that it really matters but what dictates that the rims are replicas?

E46 M3 wheels are staggered to start with, your rear tyre looks like an 8j. More than anything is that a good used set costs around £900. It's seems unlikely the owner would put such an expensive set of wheels on an older car and then sell it for £400. Just my tuppence worth is all..!

I'm a fan of the e36 motorsport wheels like on the picture I posted above.. :)

No offence taken ,just dont know much about these sort of rims.
IIRC the wheels were already on when he brought it.I was surprised when he accepted such a low offer in the first place :)

Nothing wrong with E36 motorsports,i just like the way E46 ones fill the arches

I love the e36, my first car was a 1994 325i e36. Probably the best driving 3 series yet. Loved it, I've got a feeling they'll make a cult comeback like the e30 did.

Looks like you got a bit of a steal at £400, looks smart.
