E30 Zone

ive got the engine and box (m52) into the 316 shell.....

have swapped over the barrel and key etc and the ews unit (yellow behind glove box)

the engine will turn over by key which i assume means the ews is doing as it should but it wont fire .... the fuel pum isnt coming on and i assume no spark either as if i generise the fuel pump realy with a power probe and turn the key it still wont fire.... any ideas ??

did you take the transponder unit from under the column as well?

do you have any other symptoms? sounds similar to the issue we had with the m3compact.

i got it sorted out mate . total school boy error. was trying to jump it using the large nut on the power cable under the bonnet at the inner wing and didnt have the TWO battery leads connected on the bottom of it . doh!!!!!!

Now thats funny because that was my first thought.

ive done around 50 miles in this now and all seems ok however the rev limiter is coming in around 5300 rpm. any ideas?

ive heard online that this could be to do with the donor car have traction control and mine isnt ??
