I bought some shares in work witch are soon to be ready to cash, I've got around a 7k budget and would like to to buy one of the following

E46 m3
E39 m5
E34 m5

Or as a wild card maybe an e30 with m50 conversion!

How do these compare?

I do the odd drift day and would like to do a few propper track days its going to be a 2nd car if it was your money what would you buy?

I'd love an e34 m5 or e30 m3 but I know I'm not going to get one for my budget.

What about an e36 M3? More cash left for upgrades or trackdays?

I have the e46 m3 convertible.

Buying it wouldn't be a worry, maintaining it would.

most are coming up to 10 years or older now and would need money thrown at them, clutch and flywheel replacements can cost up to £2k, same with brakes all round not to mention fuel costs, insurance...

The question is, how much track work do you want to do in it?
