Love to own one of these. I've seen a few go for that price recently. Reckon this is as low as they're going to go?
Seems to be in nice condition though.

That looks a very nice straight car - in the pics. But he seems to have done the right stuff to it and if it's as good as it looks, it's worth £3500.

I think some drift action in the vid would help to sell the car.
Looks like a good car from the vid.
How easy are parts to get for these?
And how much?
Always fancied one but like any old M are they financial ruin?

Though the work done on this one should keep costs steady for a while. The suspension delete is a godsend.

its the 3.8's with EDC that really cost, these have SLS which can be pricey.
Only problem is everything on these is M-specific and only the main dealer sells the bits.

ALL E34 M5 have SLS......... but 3.8 cars ,, had EDC,, and some of them the NÃarburgring suspension,, that cost minimium 2 kidneys
Yes it is true that the EDC fails.. but it is not the suspension,, in most cases IMO its the EDC module itself thats goes in to somekind of LIMPMODE,, or the system is not working as it should
a friend of mine is an electronic wizard and owns a 3.8,, he took the module apart and fixed the braze,, and voila,, the car is like it should be

as i said but you took 4 paragraphs to say it. 3.6 SLS. 3.8 EDC easy.

He will need more than a soldering iron to repair the four leaking foooked shocks that are 1k each to replace
This is the reason most 3.8s have their EDC deleted. The electronics side of things is very reliable.
Re the Nurburgring option. All that entailed was wider rear wheels and a thicker rear antirollbar, both of which the superior touring, came with as standard, and a dashboard switch.
All 3.8s have the wiring etc in place and the switch can simply be retrofitted as I have done on several occasions.
