E28 M535i Project (Video & Pics) IT RUNS! SEE VID!

Hi Guys,
Just bought this with my friend from a guy I used to go to school with. Its been sat in the corner of a compound for about 5 years untouched and was completely covered in green mold, but looks really solid if im honest and cant argue with what we paid for it! so today we went and dug it out of the forest which now surrounded it and towed it free.
Not feeling the stripes hey but each to their own! Its also been painted matt black...badly. Found a birdsnest in the bonnet! All electronics seem to be working but we have tried and failed time again getting into the boot (any suggestions?) Also its got the dogleg gearbox which is interesting!
I think once we get it back to the garage and give it a good clean itl look totally different for starters, These pics were taken after we gave it a wipe down to get most of the mold off.
Going to have a proper look next week and see whats what! more pics/vids to follow.
Some pictures below and a video we knocked up of us having a laugh digging it out. (Plz Dont laugh at our accents haha!)

looks like fun, has it ever been a "drift weapon"?
Are those 18" E46 wheels? you might get some cash back on those, assuming you're heading back towards original that is.

What a great find.! How much did you pay?
It looks like it might of been used somewhat recently as its got e39 m5 replica alloys on. Get it stripped right down and get looking for tinworm, looks like its been kept in a very wet place for some time.!

yeah mate its been stood in the corner of my mates lock up for about 5 years and has got all over grown, was covered in green crap when we found it. The painwork is bad in place and looks like it may have been aerosol-ed in places! Gona go and drag it to our garage this week will post some more stuff up!
Ps- any tips on getting into the boot ? can hear the central locking locking/unlocking when i turn the key in the boot but cant for the life of us seem to get in!

yeah we put a new battery on and it sounded like it might actually turn over but under closer inspection it just pissed oil all over the carpark haha! Cracked hoses but sortin that first thing!
Mcbonio , not revealing what we paid for it haha, known the guy for ages so he did me a great deal on the condition he gets to drive it one more time when we get it on the road!

I expect you've tried this already, but the bootlock might not be connected to the central locking. Have you unlocked it using the actual bootlock itself? They do get quite stiff, try pushing it right in, whilst holding the key blade. Works on mine, anyways.

Once my boot got stuck shut, I had to get a block of wood and put it on the pressed in button and give it a sharp tap with a hammer, then it popped up Soak it with wd40 etc for a few days first. Once in make sure you grease it all up to stop it happening again !

Look forward to see what this looks like when it's been cleaned up properly.

So we got it back to the Dub Depot and jetwashed it in the dark so we STILL couldnt see what we had until today. Generally a tidy car! Really solid, small hole in boot floor but can easily sort that in no time. Arches are intact on the drivers side we havent scoped the PS yet, Managed to get in the boot by soaking the button in wd40, nothing of value inside haha always the anticlimax.
So as I said before it had been painted matt black...badly. Realised that it had been done with an aerosol can as we could see small pieces flaking off here and there. The original blue paint underneath looked good so we decided to have a test on the back wing to see what it was like!
Then we did the front wing...
So far so good! Gona try and get some more done tomorrow!
Check another video here!

Well with one new relay we raped from an old 6 series in a nearby scrapyard and one bypassed oil cooler later....... SHE RUNS!
All good work so far, but from the last vid, looks like the poor car has fallen into the hands of a bunch of coonts that are going to rag it to f uck!

Thanks Guys, Not done much to it lately as we are moving garages.
It might even end up going up for sale in the near future if anyone fancies carrying it on! Id quite happily just garage it for another 10 years if I had the space haha
