530d fueling issue

Hey guys, I de-flapped my car and since then it's been running poorly every now and then. The symptoms are that occasionally it will just crank over but not catch unless you leave it for a period of time then it starts also it will start fine and run as it should then for no apparent reason it will not want to accelerate at all. I got the codes read and came up with fuel delivery regulator. Wish I never touched it as it was perfect before! Anyone know or have experience of this? Cheers

There is a fuel rail pressure sensor at the back of the engine on the rear end of the fuel rail. The plug for it is at the back of the inlet manifold which you would have removed to de-flap your inlet.

Make sure it's plugged in properly with a nice click an that there are no trapped wires.

Not trapping the wire or it not being plugged in but I have taken the inlet of many an M57 or M47 and know it's possible seeing as you removed yours and now you have a rail pressure fault and poor running issues.

Yeah, a royal P.I.T.A, especially as my daily grind is on the M23!
