Plenty of people have including myself and Simon13. He's into BMW's as well and has a few.

I'd recommend Surrey RR as well, we had a zone meet there a couple of years back! Will be looking to go again in the new year.

So the most common and cheapest mod to increase power is a manifold swap right? How much does it increase it by from standard 192bhp (I think)??

No problem Barry..
220 is good mine hasn't had the manifold replaced but other tweeks and claims it's 230-240 bhp.. So I need to find out, these guys look good and are known so will be heading down soon as time allows.

What tweeks has it got? 230-240 bhp is unrealistic without the inlet manifold sunny.

Well tbh im waiting on the info on what's been done to it exactly, I know bit & bobs but not the technical stuff, i know the heads been off and better injectors etc, everyone iv told is like nah impossible...
Hence the rolling road I want doing, it's quick but I'm only comparing it to another zoners e36 which has around 230.
It's done the Santa pod strip in 14.9 sec last year if that means anything.

carfolio has a standard 328i as 15.0 for a 1/4 mile, given that and the fact it's not had an m50 manifold i doubt itll be anywhere near 230bhp..

It had a slipping clucth at the time so i been told, these are all claims/figures given to me from the previous owner mate. Theres no such thing as a human dyno imo hence getting official figures tomm. My cousins s50'd e30 m3 is booked with mine so eager to find out what thats pushing. Will post up results tomm.

All sounds like regular claims from an owner trying to sell a car to me. And timing your 0-60 from your speedo and a shakey video isn't conclusive of a cars acceleration as there are far too many variables.
Probably find it's standard/had a chip

The previous owner is a known fantasist type c0ck so take his BS with a pinch of salt. Charlie will soon reveal the truth.
PS Charlie now has a lovely 840

Don't hold back Pete
So he's got the 8 series hey, nice.
He seemed a nice chap over the phone.
I won't feel mugged off or cheated if its not whats been claimed, just confused as to why say it. Lets see what happens tommorow.

Very true Barry but i done a straight swap for my e30 which would probably still be for sale what with it being a 4 door and a 2.0.
I no Pete's a big fan of them but he didn't make me an offer.

I wouldn't worry about the sellers claims. As long as its a nice healthy car then all is good.

My car:
325i inlet manifold conversion (professional kit from alpina527)
Big bore throttle body
Simota gruppe m carbon induction box
Evolve remap developed on their own 328i
230bhp :):)

I had that exact spec on my old 328i apart from the remap but i had a 6.5 kg single mass flywheel as well.
Was easily quicker than an E46 330.

200.8 bhp.....
So much for the blah blah blah i done this that crap.

That sounds about right for a healthy standard M52B28 in an E36. They generally make 200 despite that they are meant to be 193.
Any visible mods done to yours?

No Barry nothing visible at all, just shown it to Quazer and he didnt spot anything. Charlie did say that aswell about the bhp making 200 if it's healthy, which im glad it is.

A good base to start from then!
The M50B25 manifold is a must and should be your next step, preferably with a big bore throttle body.

Well I'm thinking this aswell, as much as i would love to put this engine into an e30, funds won't allow atm or anytime soon me thinks. The hardest thing also is finding a rust free one.
Saw quasars car just now and the size of his air filter was huge, might go down the manifold route after x-mas.

A good foundation and you have a base figure. If it doesn't burn oil and sounds right which it should do if you went near a dyno its all happy days.
And it didn't go bang either.

There was a Subaru pushing out 500+ while we were waiting, was a mad sound coming from it and as it came of the rollers there was a puddle of oil, not good...
I'm more than happy with 200, what was claimed would have been nice aswell but nevermind.
