Could be dozens of things - my Diesel daily wouldnt rev towards the top of the range - no lights on the dash saying anything was wrong and drove fine at lower rpm - turned out to be a fuel filter that was well overdue for renewal.
You could try this as if it works it will be a cheap fix, but if not I would expect you need to get it "plugged in" to tell you any more. Be prepared to lube-up and bend over

Had the car diagnostic done this morning
came up with the particlate filter!!
we cleared it and went for a run, the fault did not come back on but still not runnin right.....
i was told that you can regenarate the filter some how, any idea how to do this?
got to try and fix this here. its going to cost £300+just to get it to Aberdeen
goin to phone tow and county to see if they will help, only had it for 2 weeks..

ah the joys of owning a new(ish) car!! this is why i refuse to drive anything thats not at least 10-15 years old.
Put simply new cars cost more to buy and to maintain unless your one of these people that gets a new car as soon as the warranty has ran out

Phoned town and county, they are going to pay for my trip down on the boat (£389) and get it fixed at john clark

I'm happy

good result.. I'm with you pacman - years of on-comparison trouble-free motoring with the e30 - very cheap upkeep costs & no nonsense engineering!!!
I'm currently looking down the e91 320d route

we went down to Stirling to do some shopping, got back to Aberdeen about 3pm and the car is still not fixed.....
Town and County gave us a car to take back to Shetland until my car is fixed.
its cost them £389 for the first trip
only bad thing is i got a Honda Jazz 1.2cc haha
