Ive just picked my wife's E46 318i y2k from a main dealer after having a new head gasket and thermostat fitted.They've done a good job and I got discount as the car is over 10 years old and also discount on the stat as they only put a new one on 2 years ago.The ? is I bet you cant guess how much the bill came to?Have some guesses and ill tell later!

If so then not all of them are expensive, for example Chandlers BMW charge only £50 ph +vat on cars over 10 years old.

Thats cheaper than most specialists!

Chandlers rang me friday Barry. MOT's due on the 39. 3rd Oct. Felt guilty telling them I'd be using Vines.

Maybe its a Northern Ireland thing, but dealers are just crazy prices.

Independant every time, or buy a book and some tools and suprise yourself!
