IIRC it's a bit of a mission to change the interior colour in an E34 ?
this will make a lovely car Barry :D

But well worth it due to the circumstances? :D
E34's are a piece of pee pee to work on, even a dash is easy work

Are E34's as bad for rot or are they an improvement on E30s?

Bummer about the blinds!

E34's are a lot better than E30's for rot but the sills and bottom of the wings can get frilly especially on ones with plastic skirts. Rear arches near the sill as well.

Here you go :)

No, they are long gone, over 2 years ago and iirc i ebay'd them and they went for over £100.

If its any use im sure i still have the blind that covers the rear quarter glass somewhere, ill have a look tomorrow.

Heard about this Barry. Right colour as well. Can't wait to se it.

Mo, all M30 based early e34's had the intensive wash and later all all the V8's. Yours would have been optioned being a late 6 pot.

So whats the plans Bazla? Resto or modded?

I saw these on an M5 touring in oxford green with chrome trim, they looked the tits 8)
The guy had paid something daft like £600 for it off a builder, can you guess what the builder had been putting in the boot?
I sold him a few interior trim bits to replaced the bashed up stuff

I sold an M5 touring (indvidual Ferrari rosso corsa red) to a builder about 15 years ago. He rung me shortly afterwards to enquire about a suspension warning that was showing on the dash. I told him to come over and I would have a look, he rocked up with the seats folded and over 500kg of cement in the back !

Dan, yes this is the very turd that has been languishing up petes passage for the last 5 years.

Trev, give me a bell and pop round, its round the back of mine at the moment. Plans are to just tidy it up and use it as a daily! :o Its not in need of a full blown resto as such but does need a good going through before being pressed into daily use.

Last week, the turd was dragged up from its place of rest and an autopsy was performed to see what was needed to get it through an MOT. The list was not that big and in the end all that was needed was a rear brake rebuild, 4 replacement tyres and some welding to the jacking points and these had been beasted with the usual tyre fitter/trolley jack action.
A bit of wire brushing and waxoiling of the brake pipes and we were good to go.

After these items were sorted it went for an MOT and passed with one advisory for a chip in the screen and it to a bit of fiddling with the CO adjustment to get it through.

Now the sad/stupid part! On thursday after an evening of trying to get memory electric seats into the car which had manual seats (long story!) it was getting late and i needed to get back home in the car.
I forgot that the drive belt for the the water pump/alternator belt/fan had been slipping and needed adjusting so as it had not been done and it was getting late i took it easy on the way home and got all the way from Petes to Salfords (some 40 miles of motorway and A road for those who dont know the area) and the belt let go, about a mile from mine.
Can you see where this is going.....?

Well i got to my home and the the "coolant temp" came up on the check control display and some steam from under the bonnet! :o: :banghead:
The bottom of the rad had blown out, most probably due to it being weak and getting hot. Heater was still blowing hot mind.

A replacement belt had been fitted and a rad is also partially fitted.

Sooo after a baptism of fire the poor turd will get a serious inspection 3 and a good going over at work then when i get some time a complete interior swap.
I also have some new suspension parts to go on.

Despite the grim it had cleaned up well but needs some serious paint correction to bring the alpine white back to life!
