Afternoon folks, i have a 318is e36 and i need 2 front shocks.

Anyone know where the best/reasonably priced place to buy them?

ECP = £100

Local motor factors = £80 (but these will be cheapo)

Any suggestions?

That's where i just bought a set of very nice lowering springs :D

Which is why i thought i should renew the fronts at the same time as i have only just done the rears.

£100 for shocks ain't too bad?

Remember if you buy cheap you buy twice.....

Unless you get lucky at the scrapper with some newish ones but I doubt it dude. Sorry to bring bad news but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet for the sake of new and trouble free....

I think you're right Duke. I have just called GSF and for the good quality ones it was £79+ vat each.

Fingerman, i saw those before i asked, i think they are the way to go.

just been on to A1bmw and they will be £85 posted and they said it doesn't come with mtech anything.

However i did find out that it has the M42 engine. Can't remember if this is suppose to be the good or bad one. Anyone?

Has anyone used/fitted these? I think they might be better than buying secondhand for the same money.
