The only people that I know that buy it are Kos, Dips and Bootyman, only because it is usually pakked with pics of their tastefully modded turds
I'd save your £40 , after all, even in these inflationary times, that buys a lot of embossed scented Andrex

Ha, ha! Pete i havent bought a copy for almost 2 years mate. The standard of the turds have gone even lower than our cars so doesnt warrent my £5. You are better flicking through it at the news agents and spending the £5 on something else!
Hmm i have to call them about featuring my E36 now

Your spelling when trying to write/describe "packed" is repeatedly quite bad compared to the rest of your grammar...

I used to get BMW Car every issue a few Years ago but when I look at it now its too focussed on the new stuff for me - still a good read but only really good for finding out about cars I'll probably be buying in 2021

its not though, theres always a mixture total is all old sh!t, with a tiny bit of press blurb for the new stuff and how to fix your old car which is fine. I buy both but i prefer bmw car, its the biggest seller out of them all

I'm a BMW Car subscriber, have been for years.
Some issues are a tad boring but they can always pull something off to gain my interest.
I've only bought an issue of Total BMW once and I though it was chavvy with ghastly feature cars, it's full of BK reps and shoddy workmanship

Total and BMW car for me every month. and have done for along time.
I still have all of the in date order (sad!) including the first Total.
As i said Total has gone down hill imo but they still do feature some very interesting cars, normally by Andyboy.

give total a go for a while. I have a low tolerance to even seeing reps........

I get BMW Car Club every month. Most of the time it is a real good read with good articles. Sometimes it is not though. They now got a 20% discount on BMW Parts/Accessories through the Car Club.
I read BMW Car. I tend to flick through and read the interesting articles in WHSmith unless its a real keeper with in which case i buy it. I remember buying the first issue of Total BMW back in 2000 with the BMW 7 series. I buy it now and again though prefer BMW Car. Bough the odd Performance BMW. Used to read alot of Autocar but stopped now as find it a little trashy.

I buy Total every now and then, I don't bother with PBMW. Subscribed to Retro Car as it's much more interesting and has a nice mix of cars.

Plenty of tasting retro rides with a selection of new stuff.
I'm not a fan of the quadruple supercharged, brembo aerial, matt kevlar wrap, 29" wheels stuff
See this particularly in Performance BMW, each to their own

I used to buy BMWCar on a regular basis back in the day and always felt it a worthwhile read. It can be difficult to make a marque specific magazine seem fresh issue after issue.
Also used to dabble in TotalBMW, felt it a bit more tech based with quite useful articles.
Not bought either in recent years but will occasionally browse in WHS when waiting for a train.
PBMW I used to receive until recently on subscription as I was a Senior Mod over on the forum. Some decent metal but I have to admit, in many cases not my cup of tea. Plus occasional (fairly obvious if in the know) innaccuracies in the articles and not much depth elsewhere sometimes made it a somewhat unsatisfactory read.
Tbh, I typically buy Evo or Octane nowadays.

How many saloon 318iS models exist compared to their coupe counterparts?
I was under the impression that they were actually quite rare.

Not many IIRC - end of production run special usually in Blue ?? - and usually with rust issues.
Its not a windup - it was a genuine production BMW.
I re-read this months TBMW yesterday and IMO this months has an excellent mix of stuff.
This months not withstanding I buy it because it seems generally biased towards stuff thats no newer than 7-8 Years old with the main focus on 80's/90's cars - which is what I'm most interested in.

I know of a couple on a S Plate. Complete rust buckets as well! They're a lot rarer than the Coupe model.
Total BMW is a good read. It went a bit downhill IMO before Kelsey Publishing took over but when the old editor came back (Paul Wager?) it got back on form. Its got a different editor again but is still good - the last couple of issues have been excellent.
BMW Car is excellent too - its got a better mix of newer stuff and classics now.

TBMW have featured some dogs, as have PBMW.
both mags did seem to have their distinct approaches but both vary a bit more these days in content. i've been a strong critic of PBMW over the years but it has improved a lot. while some cars that make it into the mags may not be to some ones specific taste they have to cater for all readers and some cars have a story behind them. so believe it or not the journo's and writers will not just features cars they like, it will be cars that can be written about
i still buy all 3
as for Octane George, i have the same feelings towards it as andyboy......... it makes me feel rather poor. i only get it because its free at work
