E34 535i question - battery discharging

My E30 is all wrapped up in the garage for winter and my other weekend driver will get used more now.
Has anybody ever experienced a very slow battery drain on an E34 from the odo' & trip meter digital readout staying powered up when the key is removed from the ignition and the car is all locked up? I only noticed it after the battery had drained yet again and I started checking around for power drain.
All help would be really appreciated. I have owned E34's for 18 years now but have never had this problem before.
