As in the title just bought a 316i, e36, full m3 replica for £750. Came in as part ex at my mates garage and i couldnt help myself. Not a bad replica actually just a pity about the 1.6 engine. Never had an e36 before, is there anything to watch out for etc?

joking aside i think the E36 are nice cars! when insde they still feel reasonably modern and for the price you paid you can just throw it away if it goes wrong big style! the M3 rep bit aint my bag but im sure you will enjoy it!

M43 engines like to do their head gasket around 100K.

Manuals aren't too bad - decent low down torque and an easy 35mpg+. A good M43 318i is the best budget BMW you can buy IMO.
