You don't often see cars restored this well - the underbonnet detailing and finish is unbelievable - I wish I could do a job like this. Mind you, it was 'professionally restored'.

omg! looks like im going to have to step it up a gear for my next project. I didnt realise colour coding to the engine bay was in vogue right now, i was sticking with the outdated make it look like BMW just built it mindset, how foolish do i feel now?

luckily its not too late as i have some lachs silver to waft about at random in the bay although i might wait till the donks back in to ensure correct coverage.

The engine bay looks like it was painted by RWDONLY aka Steve Clare. He takes a painstaking effort in his work.

Painstaking effort to avoid any work, that is.

The owner has obviously seen the ad for the 35 bag blue M3 and thought a hasty coat of blue would increase his chances. Being a perfectionist, unlike our mate Tej, he also painted the bay !

Apparently there is a newspaper article featuring the car after a professional restoration, im wondering if this linen is part of the sills as its pretty obvious they will paint over anything! 8O
