Personally, I'd take the 5.

Touring purely because I dont like the look of the old 5s - I dont think its iconic, classic - whatever you want to call it - I think they look like big underpowered buses.

From a value perspective the touring is probably worth more now and in the future. The 525 will end up in the low £100s as it's not a desirable model.

A calypso touring is a rare thing from what ive read on here there are only 3 in this country so if it was me i would keep the e30.

Thats a very tidy 525i sport with Alpina's. I'd got with that.

thats the thing its so clean you could say its immaculate, and my touring needs a few things to be sorted, its a difficult decission suppose to be exchanging on wednesday

The touring is far more desirable than the 5. Although the 5 looks cool, it isn't as practical or as much fun to drive generally. Far more comfortable though I suppose.
I couldn't give that calypso touring away.

I agree Atta, I think I would miss the Touring a lot more. Just bung an M50 into the Touring

I,d be asking myself " why does he want to swap ", and i don,t mean there must be something
wrong with the 525
Think you,d miss the Touring more than he,d miss the 5.
Both very nice looking cars though.

I've got both and i can say i like the feel of the e30 over the e34 even though its done 3 x as many miles and looks like ray charles parked it

I've got both too, which is why I fancy the 525 engine in the E30

Its a tuff one but not always down to how much money you can make. Bet your heart is saying e30 and head is saying 525.
Good luck with your decision fella.

Oof, a bit steep that (this is not meant as a derisory remark however), not many e34's go for that much.
That being said - they're both great cars, at the end of the day is what YOU like best and what suits your needs.

bloody hell ata how many cars have you got?

Depends what donk the Touring has?
The E34 does look clean but a 525i is not a highly desireable model and it wont be going anywhere quickly @ £2.5K IMO...

very hard choice, i think i would end up with that touring though just because of the rarity, it would need 24v though

Re:

Is that touring a 316i?
Re:

318i i think
Re:

If it is then the E34's value is probably higher, rare colour or not!
