E23s are heavy, undergeared and thirsty turds that are better used as landfill.
If you want an early Seven buy an E32. A far better all round car that is still a pleasant thing to drive.

E23 is cooler though and super rare.

Thank f*ck for that! Amazing that any of those shitheaps are still going - I killed all of mine! Undergeared and horribly thirsty (15-20 mpg), but for £400 (it's real value) it would be amusing. For £1500 you could get a big old seventies car that was actually good when it was new such as a Series 2 XJ6 or a 350SE Merc. All rusty old scrap as well of course but great to drive, unlike an E23.

I actually like an e23.
Barry was witness to a '79 that I saw go through scrappage. 80k odd miles and truly staight and clean in white. It looked better than that red one I reckon.

Here you go. Traded in at Tates Shiteon in Crawley about 2 - 3 months ago.
No matter how shit Andy thinks they are

It's still better than a Citreon C Turd!

Such a waste.
I know the lady I brought my car off said that if it didn't sell her husband was going to chop it in under the scrappage scheme for a Peugeot 207.

i thought it may have been this one for sale at sherborne (nowhere near Colchester though) last summer:
an old boy had it up for sale, low mileage, one owner, etc., etc. £1500 iirc.

They are a turd, but I don't agree with just wasting one like that. Trouble is you wave £2000 in front of an idiot and that's what happens.

Speaking of scrap/landfill/overpriced rubbish, my 745i stumbled into life after a lengthy sojourn in my back passage. The good news is its no go status wasn't a dodgy turbo specific ECU as feared, the bad news is its running on 5

but that is 5 more than this morning !

Very cool car and a manual also
The turbo was in the way of the steering .. so M88/3 was the only option,,
SA also got the 333i very cool also at that time

It's not the sort of rubbish that interest me I'm afraid.
Sorry, I'll leave all the E23 junk expertise to you.

I enjoy driving my e23 735 every day,
It's not crap to drive, and not all that bad on fuel as well, went to chester and back from sussex the other week and got 25 mpg all the way up, and 600 mile's over the 3 day's I was up there and back not all that much less for a heavy old car. not much for a new car but a old heep like my e23 it's good going LOL
but it is under geared but not at all slow, my old e23 735ex is much better geared and can get a good 28 mpg
For all that say the e32 is a better car... well it shoud be it replaced the e23 in-it
