while i was banned, as well as restoring my e24

http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... 94&start=0

i moved to the e36 world

a 318tds, and it has a decent spec, air con, leather and the M3 kit and door mouldings all came with it which was nice but it had f*!K all history apart form a few parts invoices and an MOT. however it drove well sounded fine so on gut instinct i bought it. i traced what history i could, but in all honesty it doesnt bother me too much on a car this age and for the sort of money they go for. in the time i spent looking at it, it didnt over heat or kick out stupid levels of smoke. its had some paint but no signs of accident damage. another thing i like is the lack of roof rails, gives the car a cleaner look

as with all car i buy, i have a plan and the plan for this were to slam it and run low very low offset wheels

so..........

1st up the important stuff, servicing and maintenance. changed anything that looked perished or worn, did the belts and pullies then the fun begins

gave the car a complete valet/detail

the proces was long and hard work, but the results are pretty good, piss poor pics from the mobiles camera but i'll get better pics asap

door mouldings off so the machine buffer doesnt catch them. badges ant other removable bits were takn off,i might add the car was masked up so no compound and polish gets on trims rubbers etc

the car was washed and de greased, the machine with G10 finishing compound, then weashed again and clayed, washed and then polished by mashine with AG super resin polish and washed again and wiped down with a 50.50 mix of ziano Z8 and water

then the next day, i've washed the car down ( get rid of any dust and tree sap) polished it by hand with AG super resin polish, then given a coat of Chemical Guys glaze and wiped down again with the 50.50 ziano mix. next time round it will get waxed lol

all trims re fitted and given a protective coating with 303 aerospace protectant.

engine bay has bee steam cleaned as well, also the car was jacked up, and cleaned under the arches, i should have got some pics realy but i just didnt have time, but to put it simply the are now white, not covered in black mud and dirt

thanks

i did have couple of people on the e36 coupe forums say its the best e36 touring they have seen 8O

it needed to have a better lump for that claim, but i think it made some moves in the bmw styling world. it certainly got attention at some of the Dub meets

Stunning Kos just stunning.

Thought I recognised it from the ring pics that were posted on here a few weeks ago.

I'd like the Mtech Front & Rear bumpers for mine but every time I see them up for sale they are silly money

nice dirty six kos.. although a bit too low for my liking.. as around here the speed bumps are a killer... so when are you getting a proper engine in there winkeye

london is even worse for speed bumps, my road is covered in them :x

i did toy with the idea of putting a proper lump in there but sold the car now, and i have compact !

i'll get some pics of that up soon
