As they are not gonna get any cheaper and for the money, its ALOT of car!
So a brief run down,
98 M3 Evo in estoril blue with silver vader leather, 100k with FSH, completely standard, even the orginal radio! Its been looked after and has had a vanos replacement as well as a clutch and flywheel during its 11 years.
Just the one pic for now as i only picked it up last night.

I'm not the biggest E36 fan and i much preffer the E46 that and the fact that the E36 and more so the M3, has a HUGE council stigma attached to it.
I feel though that the E36 M3 is at the same point the E30 M3 was 5-10 years ago in value terms and that as numbers dwindle, and they are rapidly, values will go up for unmolested ones in good nick.
Only time will tell.

Cool car. How does it compare to the s50'd e30?
I would have one, but as you are probably finding out, the insurance is a bit peaky.
Edit: I think good e36s are not at all council, as in unmolested ones. You could turn up to an executive meeting in that, no problem. Wheras an e36 4 door 318 with kahns and a kit....

Cant give a good comparison just yet as i've only driven it home and had the mrs following me back although i did shoe it up a slip road onto the M25 and it did impress me.

Funny you should mention that Jon, but I was looking to buy one before I bought the S50E30 from Barry and the fact that I could insure the E30 for less than the E36 m3 is what swung the deal otherwise I would have had an estoril blue evo with black vaders now.

E36's rock
Looks like a good 'un mate (minus the sunflowers which I've never been too keen on sorry

)
Any plans for it mate?

I wish I could justify the stupidly large insurance premium I'd have to pay to insure one of these...
I'd have one of these over my CTR anyday.

nice Barry, look forward to inspecting that at Guildford!
I was all set on buying one for a trackday car before the e30 until I got an insurance quote, I could fit a 500bhp motor to the e30 and it would still be less to insure than a standard e36 m3

A lot of companies wont even touch you under 25 on one!
Weird that you put it in a shell which makes it quicker etc, it is then cheaper to insure

Thanks for the kind comments guys!
Graeme, thanks very much! This part of Surrey is much nicer!
Dan, i agree spoilerless is the way forward!
Tim, it was up for £4995 and i got him down to £4100, BARGAIN!
All_torque, No real plans for it as of yet other than some routine maintainence. One of the front shocks is on its way out but im not sure what route to take, replace the front pair with OE, put a complete Bilstein spring and shock kit on or bite the bullet and go for some Bilstein PSS9 coil overs. The sunflowers will stay for now (i dont mind them) but some slpit rim Hartges or ACS would be nice.
We'll see.
Insurance isn't that bad for me, must be where i live now!

I was/am bringing the sport

It should be sorted in time.

Sounds like a bargain mate!
Personally I wouldn't go for PSS9's unless you plan to track the car. They are without doubt one of the best coilys you can get, but I'd only really pay that premuim if I intended on tracking the beast.
I'd recommend a set of KW V1's or V2's or Eibach Pro kit for everyday useability, comfort, excellent handling but without a hefty premuim

I'd also recommend a DaveF or GruppeM rep air filter - nothing like the sound of a screaming S50

And get some Denso Iridiums and Motul 300v in there too!
Hartge's would be nice but as an ACS fiend I'd say speak to Claus and get some split 2's
Is it a manual or SMG mate?

I like the sunflower alloys, they are more discrete than the MOT'SPORT(say it in a chav accent) ones.
Sounds like a bargain.
