start of the day all going well, found a buyer for the 540i , he didn't want the wheels that were on it so i found some very cheap bbs wheels with good tyres to put on it for him . drove all the way to nottingham to pick them up got back, started to jack up the car to fit them and it turned out the front jacking points and sills are made out of underseal and rust! the jack pushed the point through the sill and it crumbled away then i tried to fit the wheels and it appears that 15's do not clear 540 break calipers (own stupid fault i dident check )
fresh mot and only good for a breaker
just thought i would would shere that with you all, *reaches for gas axe* BBQ 540 anyone?

i know, but to be fair the sill's didn't look rusty and were solid to a normal prod but the underseal crumbled when i achually tried to use the jacking points. but i supose it was better me finding it than the bloke i was going to sell. i think he would have been justifably upset when he got it home.
