I was driving through town yesterday all was fine then as a pressed the clutch pedal in to change gear it started to make a loud grinding sound at the end of the pedal movement. I have figured out that something is touching the flywheel. It still changes gear ok aslong as I dont use the full movement of the pedal.
Any ideas?
Also I tried to find the clutch fluid resevoir but couldn't find it anywhere! Its not in the usual bmw position! anyone know where it is?
Thanks

Your probley find it's just a colapsed thrust bearing or the fork is loose on one side. Either way it's box out time.

Do you know where the fluid pot is on these cars?

The clutch fluid is taken from the brake fluid reservoir, hence no seperate reservoir.
How many miles has the car done? Anything over 70'000 is gonna be 'clutch-gubbins-broken-time' especially 330's as most people feel they have to nail them everywhere.
I'd get it looked at sooner rather than later too. One small crack in the flywheel is gonna make a terrible mess of your ankles!!
