I've heard that the brake discs and pads are hideously espensive on the V8s when compared to the V8. No personal experience of this though.

The current one is.

I had a wee blat of Sytners E60 B5S a few months ago. Indescribably good - I don't know the figures, but it felt every bit as fast as an M5, but smoother, "calmer" and much more refined. Probably the best car I have driven - and there's been a few.

Well they are 530bhp and 530lbs of torque so probably quicker 90% of the time than the V10 M5. Any gear anytime would be my words!

I've driven that one too. Lovely car to drive - the blue's a little bit too much for me, but it is a special car beautifully maintained and looked after.

That's nothing mate, a friend works in a Porsche garage and they once had to price up discs and pads all round for a 997 Turbo S (carbon discs).......................... £15,000 for the parts! at trade rate!
