Firstly hello everyone (im new here)
secondly im sorry if im posting in the wrong section...
i have an intermittant fault on my central locking, its fine during the summer, then as soon as the cold / damp weather comes it starts again...
its an E46 328i sport (V reg), its mainly my wifes car and its a pig getting our child in and out just using the windows... we have another child on the way so i need to get this problem sorted, sell it and get something bigger.
like i said, its an intermittant fault, but its more often it wont work.
ive had the drivers door apart today and had the lock / handle assembly apart but there is nothing obvious...
when i press the lock button it locks every time but when i press the un-lock button you can hear the fuel flap unlock but nothing else happens... the boot unlocks & opens fine too.
any help would be fine
central locking fault

If it moves and it shouldn't Duct tape
If it doesn't and it should WD40.
Try it on the lock mechanism and then operate the lock a few times to move it about. Should work if its moisture getting into the mechansm.
