OK, Ok, Theres no shoot out here but I was wondering..

I have a nice but getting old 325i Touring.

I was thinking about getting a Saab Turbo untill I found out they are all front wheel drive.

Then I thought about a nice Audi, say, RS4 Ya right not for 10K!

Its got to be an Estate ( Dog! )

So how about a Z3 M Coupe? Sports car and load carrying capabilities.

Trying to source one for 10K.

Anyone driven one?

Awesome car - but is there much space in them??? (It's got to be an estate!!)

I went for a touring - got a nice solid one, then spend the leftover money upgrading everything!!!!! It'll be better than a new car when i finish with it!!!!!!

Was gonna get a 330d tourer at one point point, but i thought that'd be boring!!!

Crazy power. Imagine an M3 3.2 Evo engine in a Z3....Thats what it basically is with no traction control.
Returned after many years out.

Do not buy an M Coupe for its load lugging capacity. Yes it is more practical than other 2 seaters but an estate it is not. I went Ikea once to and forgot to take a bigger car - just about managed to the shopping in - it would not have fitted in another 2 seater!

As awesome as they are nearly all the owners are modding them now as the standard suspension can be vastly improved upon.

The cheapest ones are down to about £14k now. Have a look on www.z3mcoupe.com for more information.

Ive heard simon likes to camp it up in the z3. With demlot in tow also.

You wont get an m coupe for under 10k. The high millege cars are even more than that, 10k will get you a bent salvage thing though, with money to spare on repairs.

I dont mind the m coupes, but they are all so pointless to me. Keep the touring i say. Then save up for something that you really want.

load capabilities... in an M-Coupe... what are you carrying, tissue boxes?!

theres nowhere near enough room to make this a compromise. and there is no way you'd wanna use a n M-Coupe everyday. you'd do a fortune in fuel, and rack up loadsa miles bringing down the value of the car

id have an M-Coupe, but as a weekend car only...

Do you/can you drive a fast car on the channel islands?! i'm not taking the piss, just interested!

in the UK we only recieved the ZM coupe in RHD, the rest of europe had this option or if they didn't fancy M-power and the running costs they also had the choice of a 2.8 coupe and later on this changed in around 2000 i think to the later 3.0 engine from the E46.

My mums Z3 is a hoot to drive, on the very rare occasion i'm allowed to drive it! might look a bit gay to some but thats where it ends as the 2.8 and above ones are a fast car

Ha Ha Simon, Good question!

The fastest speed limit here is 40mph, then there are ther 30mph zones in villages, 20mph past schools and our very own
" Green Lanes" = 15mph!!!

The green lanes are the ones that get the most abuse by night driver rally wanabe's.

All in all with the traffic on the roads the average speed is around 12mph.

I used to get up at 5am in the summer and ride my bike like a nutcase but now I just disappear to France for the day/weekend/week or more.

Driving Sucks here but its good to have a car you love.

Obviously this type of environment does not put a good case for a performance car.

I am formost a bike rider, its just would be nice to have a fast car too!

If only I had the money then an Audi RS4 Avant would be parked out front.

But I beleve you should take pride in what you have and thats why I love my E30 Touring and try to look after her well.

I know this is off topic a small bit cos it was a convertible.
But Friend of mine got a Z3M over in the UK and brought it back over here to Ireland. Superchip, full de-cat system, M-tec kit, 18" BBS( I think). 340bhp
It was scary fast but sum car. He sold it on for I think around 16K (and thats euro)
M42 rightness above 6500rpm, nobody can hear you scream
