Thanks guys - soz about the wrong thread title- so used to putting e30 I guess

I have put down a holding deposit on a sight unseen genuine 66000 miler with fbmsh- will use it as a daily runaround. Also has ( fully working ) aircon which is a huge plus in my book

The deposit is such that I can afford to walk away from the deal if the car turns out to be not what it says - but I am satisfied that I am dealing with honest paople.

I just wondered whether these lumps had anything specific in the way of problems which I should check in addition to the normal things

I think they are a pretty strong engine.

With Full BM History, and low mileage, you will be unfortunate to have big problems. I would be more concerned about body/interior condition, so long as the engine sounds fine, and doesn't overheat etc. :)
