Hi all,
Not sure how busy it is here now, but thought I'd ask for some advice!!!
Being forced to buy a car I really don't want and will hate, thanks to the ulez explansion.
With the 2016(ish) 320d (ED) cars, (and other modern BMW's, I guess), are timing chains still an issue???
I'm seeing online that they are 'recommended' (not sure by who?) to be changed around 100k miles and it's not a cheap job!!!
And what other common issues are there on these???
I don't like the way that servicing seems to just be at whatever random intervals the computer decides and FSH now means it could have a few services at seemingly massive intervals!!!
I remember warning people off of some of the diesels years ago, but here I am sadly browsing them!
Last thing I want to do is over stretch to buy a £8-10k car I don't want and end up with a(nother) huge bill I can't pay!!!
If I buy something with 100k-130k miles and I'm doing 35k+ per year, is one of these diesel tourings just going to be a disaster for me???
Cheers,
Rob.
