If I'm not mistaken this is the same car that sold on ebay for circa £1200 needing a little TLC.
It was on my watched items, some salvage yard had it. It was missing a few trims etc.

Gearknob and wood trim needs to go.
Id also put spacers in the GT spoiler and put style 5s on but its still lovely. But 160k and they want 5 grand?

#the advert says it's a counciled up E36 with possibly the most undesirable body and interior colour that's almost been to the moon and back.
In my eyes it's a £2495 screen price and the first loser to produce 2 bags in cash (not basmati) would get their arm ripped off.
Or am I missing something?

True but theres a good chance the £500 turds are not one owner cars and have not had full dealer service/repairs etc, the above car must have had as much money spent at the dealer for its upkeep than it cost in the first place.
I don't know about being old enough or cool enough, I'm not much of a fan TBH, the only way we will know about this for definite is when people start paying more for them, and one owner optioned up cars are the best starting point don't you think?

So it does Si, my comments were made on the basis I thought it had 160K as stated, if in fact it's only got 26K then it's certainly not overpriced but it is certainly council and has grim colours
Dan yes agree totally but if this turds got almost as many miles as the starship enterprise it really doesn't make much difference how much has been spent on it because it'll never command strong money due to its leg...

The clocks were changed for a new set by a dealer in London I believe, no idea why the milage wasn't corrected, I'm sure they are (or at least were) capable of doing that. Dealer fitterz?
Milage is its worst enemy, but these were designed to do the miles at least, and you wouldn't know it judging by condition.

An explanation of the mileage discrepancy in the advert would be an excellent idea then.
Selling high mileage turds is a tedious task, as brettski is going to find out, if he doesn't already know.
On eBay it's the dearest one by 2 bags and has 40k more miles, theres also a 1 owner car with 99k there that is a much more desirable Avus blue. £800 more will also buy a tidy Evo with less miles

It's a lovely thing, but a bit too much money. 160k is a lot of miles even though they are good for more. Will be interesting to see what it sells for and how soon.
As an example, a mate will soon be selling an immaculate (and I mean immaculate) 52 plate 330Ci Sport Convertible, 2 owners, 36'000 with FSH, Titan with black leather and nav for a bit over 6 grand.

Cream leather seats and 160k are not the best combination. They don't look too bad in the photos, but in the flesh it wwill be a challenge to the eye.
Selection of BMW hardtops available, please ask!
I'll have some of what he's been snorting.
A proper LHD one with the tweaked engine, 100'000 kms and 3/4 owners, yes.
But a rusting 7 owner 136'000 miler?

sorry i was making my basis it was a 26k cream pie, my cream interior is going pretty well for 240k on my e36 on boston green paint. I think the combo works well aslong as the interior is good.
Those 328's can cover serious milege in the right hands and treatment, even abused!
Silver/grey is shite and should be banned from option lists is my new opinion

Convertibles are a different kettle of fish, they don't command anywhere near the money a 328i 'sport' does.stew72 wrote:and I got laughed at on a certain facebook group for asking £4k for my convertible.....
