Stop bloody crying Simon!
The retail price of the red car is only £4k more than the retail price of yours.
I wonder if it needs as much as yours to get it up to scratch.....

It will need more, but it won't get done. We've seen some of the cars 4Star serve !
27k = owner getting Ca 20k BEFORE they hammer him for 'refurb' costs.
Indeed. Simon and Rob could have took their bi turbo to 4 star and been bummed for and even bigger commission.
Is it not £1500+vat AND 10%?

how is that crying? Are you looking to fall out? The car is gone, thats fine but i'd like my money, is waiting a month too long?
Shall i save the air bag story of utter stupidity for another time?
The great thing about a bi turbo is you can slot them into 5th gear at 150mph as you fly fast e46 m3's

You've obviously got a bee in your bonet about something and have persistenly been having a dig in this thread, and by text! Perhaps its you that's looking to fall out no?Simon13 wrote:how is that crying? Are you looking to fall out? The car is gone, thats fine but i'd like my money, is waiting a month too long?

If you have a problem with how long the money is taking to come to you, take it up with Dan. He was right, it was best i didn't get involved with the deal but somehow I can't help but feel I'm being dragged into it.
SOR sales so not happen overnight, especially when there is a hit list for the already very busy and under staffed workshop to sort.
Crack on and tell the world about the B3 airbag if it makes you feel better, not my drama, I just tried to help sort it and as said I will look into the PP issue tomorrow.
The rate is normally £1500 + vat but it can vary depending on the car as ML have to warranrt the cars we sell and on a big risky liability like a 20yr old 120k mile bi turbo that's a big f ooking risk!e30topless wrote:what's the rate of commission at Munich bellends Baz ?bss325i wrote:Indeed. You are no longer allowed to refer to Munich Legends as Munich bellends,as since our Barry went to work there they have been transformed into the only BMW indi worth mentioninge30topless wrote:what's the rate of commission at Munich bellends Baz ?bss325i wrote:Indeed. Regardless of weather i work there or not, The current owner has turned the company around from the unscrupulous ways of the previous Halse clan who didnt even own it despite claiming to, yet still treated the company like their own piggy bank and felt no way to rip off/steal from customers left right and centre.daimlerman wrote:You are no longer allowed to refer to Munich Legends as Munich bellends,as since our Barry went to work there they have been transformed into the only BMW indi worth mentioninge30topless wrote:what's the rate of commission at Munich bellends Baz ?bss325i wrote:Indeed. Munich bellends would be putting it mildly when referring to the Halse clan days!
ML SOR horror stories or SOR horror stories in general?

Fack that, two and a half bags commission on a sale is just plum crazy,Simon13 wrote:£2500 on my car
A good advert with a detailed description and good pics on Ebay worldwide, and that car without a shadow would have sold it-self !!!
we aren't talking E34 535 sports here or grubby 10k E34 M5's, as you know the B10 Bi is a very rare turd indeed, there's some seriously caked up collectors out there awaiting chariots like this, being LHD it would have a great European market chasing it

Thing is ML have recently had a rep for getting top prices for good cars
Nothing to say u cannot get it privately
Though is a bit easier with ML brand name behind the sale, their following and their high net worth list of clients

Thing I'm most interested to learn is, did you make money on the sale, Si?

PONY, 2013 - "Anyway span 360 degrees hitting the kerb and giving the old man two fingers as I was spinning like Michael Schumacher would
You really think caked collector types are going to rock up at the side of the road to kick tyres on a near £20k rare fragile 20 year old turd then you are mistaken.e30topless wrote:Fack that, two and a half bags commission on a sale is just plum crazy,Simon13 wrote:£2500 on my car

People with money don't want the hassle or want to take the risk on a private purchase and would rather purchase from someone with a good reputation and have some sort of come back.
IF they are well set on a particular car and the only one for sale happened to be a private sale then they are going to get it inspected by someone who specialises in such cars.
Simon/Rob got close to what they wanted for the car and still turned a profit. The car still needs a few jobs doing to get it up to ML retail standards and you baulk at the commission price but you have to remember that its ML that have to cover the car if anything happens.
Say something goes bang or falls of a week after the buyer collects, its not Simon/Rob that have to pay/sort it, its ML!
E34's, E31's and E39 M5's are not great in terms of SOR as they often have a huge hit list to get them up to scratch and often have things go wrong soon after being sold due to the nature of what they are. 850CSi's seem to be the worst offenders!
With regards to this sale, dont for one minute think i was involved with this and in fact Simon/Rob approached ML before i even worked for them.
There was a known previous customer who contacted ML who wanted a Bi Turbo and was ready to buy and to have a hassle free sale, live victim ready to go and to not have to f uck about advertising, playing the waiting game, dealing with viewings and having to do more work to get the car up to scratch, would have been mad to missed out on.
It's lucky they deal went through when it did and the buyer may have ended up seeing the red one at 4Star and bought that.

Indeed the stars aligned on this one and we got close to what we wanted for it. Once its 100% sown up we can talk warts and all on the last few months with it.
They're tricky to sell, that avantgarde car with the gash grey wheels was forsale for years? and for less money than the price agreed on ours!
It was a no brainer in some respects and i've been there and done that defo got the T shirt. I'll miss its shattering performance but i won't miss the frequent/expensive repair bills and the lengthy labour times the repairs often took.
Anyhow topless you should be glad, you said it was in the wrong hands! so its out of my hands
Its defo a better car than when i bought it
