Seems a tad steep for a car in need of work and with no paperwork. Could make a nice project though...

Would go well with an M52!

Needs careful checking for tinworm,though.

Is that an original BMW colour ?

I would avoid unless you are feeling brave or know what you are doing.

Cypress or Malachite green, by the look of it:

+1 Some sick people in the world.

I actually really like that colour. I wonder could I torture Mr SnakeBrain into buying it?

What's the situation with parts with '24's? extortionate?

Will (Sskoda) had one in a while back, tan leather interior was £800.

So I don't think it will be a cheap project :(

It's Cypress fo sho. It would be a reasonable breaker for £350 but not £1500. I'm struggling to see any valuable morsels on it tbh.

If it was a manual slippy diff'd 635 of the same vintage then I'd be tempted to relieve it of engine, box, wheels, diff etc for my E3, but as it is there's not much to pick from then I don't think it'll be going anywhere quickly at 1500 bucks :(

It could indeed be one of the 'Hallmark' TWR versions - it looks very similar to this one:

Although, the ashtray 'H' plaque appears to be missing, so maybe it's a replica...

It's hard to say, but Hallmarks were available in most 6 Series colours including Fjord blue. I've enlarged the pics and can't see the small silver H logos on the headrests either.
It has 635CSi front and rear spoilers as well as the 7J Mahle 'competition' wheels and Hallmarks all had Alpina wheels and spoilers. From memory BMW Concessionaires did a limited edition run out model.

Neil, if you can ring the auction and get me the reg number I might be able to find out more. It still looks like a money pit though so you'd need myself of Pete to give it a good grilling to see if it's worthwhile or not. It might be a decent thing needing a lot of fettling - who knows?

Thanks :D TBH the mileage is a bit of a downer. If it was a sparsely used London car showing 60K it would seem a bit more of a prospect. I'll pop down on Tuesday night and give it a quick once over based on your Total BMW guide and report back if it looks like it would be worth having a full autopsy. That low mileage fully paper-worked up '78 633 went for £3700 earlier this year, this one tidied up might struggle to clear ?£3K?, so not much budget for paint or wings :? Just about to complete on a fixer upper wreck of a house, so timing isn't great too :(

Does look a bit far gone. Hungarian owner - Granville, perhaps? :) Wonder if anyone's phoned the council hotline about it?
