I've just had wind today of a serial bmw hoarder in the almost pacerpete style
I've had a few photos and am trying to find out more details but this guy locally has 17 various bmw's in his back garden and is moving house and apparently needs to shift the cars
I've seen a few pictures and they're all laid up but not looking totally f**ked from the outside
a 2500 saloon, manual an E3 is it?! red interior
e24 6 of some kind on open centre cap alpinas
a red e30 of some kind
4 e28's 2 look to be m535's one 525e and another I can't Identify from the pics. One 535 I checked the reg and its not been taxed since 2002!
Theres another 10 I don't know about what they are etc, there could be some good fraggers in there no? I think its worth a sniff around if the chance arises

Really???pnd wrote:seems like an arsehole to me but people who keep cars and do nothing with them usually are.Rav335uk wrote:Good response from the owner.
The "FACT" that someone trespassed on his property to get the pics in the first place would piss most poeple off.
Maybe you're OK to have strangers in your garden, but most aren't.

If you Got "Haters",Then your doing something Right!

when you know the facts you can shout. I've done no trespassing. You can all believe what you will, this was never meant to be like this.Rav335uk wrote:Really???pnd wrote:seems like an arsehole to me but people who keep cars and do nothing with them usually are.Rav335uk wrote:Good response from the owner.

Well it would be amazing if you told us......
What I meant was his obstreperous attitude conveyed in his message. If you have a load of old cars people will look at them mostly just out of curiosity -damage and theft is another matter.Rav335uk wrote:Really???pnd wrote:seems like an arsehole to me but people who keep cars and do nothing with them usually are.Rav335uk wrote:Good response from the owner.

Also cars are to be driven in my book and people that just keep them around deteriorating and doing nothing with them are arseholes as far as I am concerned.

And who's shouting?

So he's an arsehole for owning a load of cars and doing what he wants to do with them.... thats without knowing what his long term plans are for them, though fragging doesnt seem part of the agenda...pnd wrote:If you have a load of old cars people will look at them mostly just out of curiosity -damage and theft is another matter.pnd wrote:seems like an arsehole to me but people who keep cars and do nothing with them usually are.Rav335uk wrote:Good response from the owner.

Because of the size of the collection, which happens to be on his property and by and large out of sight, people's curiosity (AKA:noseyness) should be accepted with grace, especially when evidence shows that tresspassing has likely taken place as well as discussions on the interweb about his apparent situation, his collection and possible photos of his collection

I for one, would find this most distressing as well as a little scary (im sure this wasnt the desired effect by Simon13), but the owner still deserves to get shot down for his apparent "obstreperous attitude"...
Your mention of damage and theft was rather vague, so I wont comment further on that, but I think i know where you was going with that too.....

Jim jog on, after laughing from the guys reply on the other thread do you think hes selling any of it?!? I'll spell it out NO!
I've got enough cars and my own hassles going on.
My intentions weren't all this. The facts are the house is a sh!t tip with broken windows, branbles and crap all over the cars, bits of cars everywhere, grass overgrown. It all looks derelict and the guy wonders why it all attracts attention. Hes a recluse and actually lives there and the cars are for spares for the mint ones alledgedly stored away from the house. So theres more he owns stored elsewhere. The guys had trouble recently with a lot of folks snooping around, knocking on the door about the cars. I don't think he realises how well known it all is in the area
Hes moving to Scotland and taking it all up there to store in units. Hes well aware of what they all are and their worth
Word on the street was the house was selling because the owner had died and it all needed shifting on via family. The truth is not quite this! I guess posting up about it was the wrong thing to do, theres more facts I shouldn't share that I know now. Like I said seemed a shame if good stuff went to waste/scrapped for no reason.
Next question or "owned" comment from the next jockey please proceed.......

Ok ok ok, so when the chap is face with £££££ to ship it all to Scotland, where certain death awaits it all by rampant rain induced rust, we'll look forward to seeing it all on the bay then?
Don't forget that hype is the best form of advertising...
From your description next time I'm driving through Bordon I'll keep an eye out
Just out of interest can you see the cars on google earth whe zoomed right in?
Jogging on..........

If this guy is as smart as I think he is, he'll know he'll have much more work shifiting the cars (eventually), working and scrap, from up here. It's a fact.
On that basis, he has no plans to sell any of them soon. It's a smart chap who has a load of rare cars, with a scrapper or two which can be used for parts for each of them. That way you lie low, as you never have to buy any rare morsels at daft prices.
All the while the collection of cars and scrap appreciates.
