I find it difficult to summon even a flicker of emotion for a family with a m6,THE NEW M5 and an M3

The Internet - It has proven to be worthless, and is nothing but a repository for perverts.

they were probably driving fast, but if you read it it says another car pulled in of a slip road and cause the m5 to swerve
not condoning the speed even though its with in the law in sections of the autobahn
the guy was in an M5, i'm sure he's had other high performance cars over the years and had s certain amount of skill as do his boys to allow them to drive such cars, but as ever no matter how good a driver you are, some other road users are a liability

The fact the passenger area has not completely crumpled is quite amazing.

Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?

Although we don't know the all facts and can only go on what we read in the article, people shouldn't be quick to jump to conclusions either.
Also, it's a testament to how safe newer cars are.
Imagine the same scenario in an E30!
A car travelling from the slip road is doing about 60-70mph is going to look in his mirror see how far away the car is and probably not even register his speed before he makes his move. The BMW is still going to be approaching him at approx 120mph! The guy is insane for even thinking of travelling at that speed anywhere on the roads!
Having lived in Germany for 7 years and travelled most of the autobahn system in that time, I'm surprised there is no limit on a stretch that has a slip road joining it anyway.
Save it for the ring IMO.

Yeah lol would be a bit of a laugh...u gonna need balls of steel to vmax that though and ur gonna need to make sure u got ur life cover sorted lolbab-91 wrote:It would be fun tho... right?pony wrote:A E30 wouldnt be able to handle all that power and would not only be unsafe not very driveable...scott180gtb wrote:E30 Engine Doner???????
PS i still cant believe that guy survived i am very impressed......from looking at the photograph the rear seemed to have absorbed alot of the energy and the roof.....even in a F1 car to walk away from that with just bruising would be impressive..
Anyone know when they design road cars do they design it in case it rolls over or just to pass the mandatory crash tests?
There is an E30 with over 1000bhp!pony wrote:A E30 wouldnt be able to handle all that power and would not only be unsafe not very driveable...scott180gtb wrote:E30 Engine Doner???????

Yep - roll over is most certainly part of the design process for modern cars...pony wrote:Yeah lol would be a bit of a laugh...u gonna need balls of steel to vmax that though and ur gonna need to make sure u got ur life cover sorted lolbab-91 wrote:It would be fun tho... right?pony wrote: A E30 wouldnt be able to handle all that power and would not only be unsafe not very driveable...

Mandatory tests I believe are just the front crash, side impact and offset front crash, but most take into account roll over as part of the body in white design (all the above goes hand in hand)...
Either way, he is still a lucky mother funkster to walk away from a big one like that...

sod them, i want to know how the dog is....poor creaturesnakebrain wrote:Was daddy showing off for his new girlfriend?!The driver and his 20-year-old passenger in the car

I wonder how far it would have gone if he got airborn and cleared the arco barrier.
There is NO nucleus.
As much as enthusiasts deride modern vehicles for being over sized, bloated and heavy there's no denying the staggering advances in crash safety.
I'd hate to think the result if that had been an E28 or E34 M5 instead.

Yes, Darwin would have been allowed to carry on his work, unfortunately we're currently de-evolving!George wrote:I'd hate to think the result if that had been an E28 or E34 M5 instead.

Pancake! - but I'm trying to imagine what an E30 would feel like at 300 km/h too. I'd imagine it would be a tad loud!bss325i wrote:
