Also saw my first councilled 1 series on the way out of Leeds the other week. In white, Had the black roof, black rear lights, heavy tints and some hideous rimzzzzzz. My god it looked shite!

Okay, it may not be in the same league as what we are used to but it's started. Thats my point.
Also, looking at a few of these now wit the view to replacing the '39 530 sport and it's amazing how many are already tatty jank with moody histories that have been "got at"! Brings back all the momories of when I bought my 3 year old 523 about 7 years ago.

Anybody who replaces a decent E39 with an E60 wants their head feeling. They're horrid things with an interior that's a cross between a 1989 Carlton and a branch of Currys.B7 wrote:Okay, it may not be in the same league as what we are used to but it's started. Thats my point.

Trev, when i worked at B&W 18 months ago, a 530d SE cam in with a cracked exhaust manifold.
It has an irish plate, tints, halfords stick on chrome beading around the rear lights, several M badges, M5 replica wheels and a powerflow quad tailpipe system with the offside 2 pipes being dummies!

I know what you are saying but I'm bored with the e39. It's the second I've had and to be honest? They are getting a bit long in the tooth now. The shape of the e60 has grown on me especially the MSport and I have an old BM in the shape of an e30. I don't want an "old" BM as a daily really.Andyboy wrote:Anybody who replaces a decent E39 with an E60 wants their head feeling. Apart from the black roof (vinyl wrap?) and crap number plate I don't see much else different. Lights appear the same, no body kit and they look like OE alloys?

Unfortunately, BMWs always will appeal to the tossers of this world. I like BMW quality and driving dynamics, but I'm not a fan of the 'bimmer' image at all.

Council e65, who puts x5 wheels on a classy motor like that?

Oh my god. I just love the obligatory similarly mutated Range Rover Sport in the drive and the unattended baby on the bonnet. Says it all really. One completely f*cked over e60. Nice one!ImysE30 wrote:I quite like thatBlitz wrote:Awful
