E36 suspension

As the title says guys and girls. Whats the lowest I can go without fouling the arch's? The car has 18's at the mo but looking to go back to original 16's.

i dont know what mines been lowered to... but i do know that the trailing arm bushes were replaced on thursday!! mines on 17's...

I've got my e36 lowered on apex 35mm front/45mm rear. 18's. 225/40 on the front, 255/35 on the rear. Can't even get 1 passenger in the back, it bloody rubs hardcore.

35mm drop is what you want.

i'm thinking my wishbone bushes have gone again, causing the wheels to point inwards on either side. when i do get down to changing them, i think i'l do a diy allignment as its too low to get it done professionally, should kill the rubbing.

you can go very low if you pick the right off set and wheel size

in my compact i run 8x17's et and 205/40 tyres, wheel et is 15 which means they stick out a but, the front is lowered about 60 to 70mm with no arch mods at all, and i can get it down an other 10mm easily. the backs about 40mm lower with the same spec wheels and tyres. it required a light roll

the touring, whch was even lower, and had wider 17's and lower et , i flared the front a fair bit and rear arches a touch. i had 215/40's on the back and boot full of ICE




















get on to the e36 coupe forum, there are plenty of people running big wheels with out any aggro.

if you want 16's you can go very low on stock wheels, BUT the tyres may catch on the rear inner arch, no the lip the actaul wheel housing.

when your motor looks like that you can post as many pics as you want mate. Would ideally like sum 17 inch sunflower rims but do you think its best to change springs and shocks?
