If there is nothing obvious like broken or cracked vacuum hoses you need to take it to a dealer of good indy with diagnostic software to locate the fault (probably an engine sensor) even if you find the problem you may still need the dealer intervention to re-set whatever fault code is stored in memory.

My mate put it on a diagnostics machine and it came up with loads of faults that he cleared but whenever we re started the car and then run another scan it was coming up with throttle position sensor and cam shaft sensor. maybe this is why its hiccuping but i don't think this is why the DSC light will not turn off

The DSC will be all over the place if it cannot tell what the throttle position is, you need to cure that and the cam shaft sensor fault before you can do anything else.

changed the sensors and put the car back on the diagnostics cleared the cam sensor code and the throttle sensor fault will not clear and the car is still hiccupping and the asc light still will not turn off. Ok so now i've change 2 of the plugs around and the asc light will now turn on and off so hopefully when i put it back on the diagnostics tomorrow the fault can be cleared from the ecu and the car don't hiccup no more....
