I have just gotten back from an approx 235mile round trip in the iS.

We drove the Manchester, then on the way back stopped of @ Leeds, then back home to Teeside.

I filled up @ the local Asda (109.9) & reset the trip meter, also resetting the 18 button OBC.

At the end of the journey i have managed to get an indicated 47.9MPG average over approx 235miles.

I just drove steady away & stuck to the speed limits & was relaxed the whole time.

The guage is now half way between, half full and three quaters full.

Im quite impressed!

Regards,
Pete.

it's amazing what you can do if you have a real steady run :D
i managed 32+mpg on the way to the ring, on gas. and gas loses you approximately 20% of the mpg figures you'd get on petrol. so, in theory at least, if i did that run on petrol i could have reached nearly 40mpg! not bad for a short geared 3.5 M30 loaded up to the hilt with tools and camping gear

That's quite impressive Gareth, congrats!

Last & only time i drove to the ring i was in my old e39 530d sport auto (remapped).

As soon as i hit the autobharns, the economy went out of the window, lol

Regards,
Pete.

But the OBC mpg reading is pretty useless?

The only way to tell what it actually did is brim the tank now and work it out properly.
