Hi all,
I'm a total newbie to BMW's so thought i'd get on a forum and see what the fuss is about. I have just bought a g reg 320i which i believe you call the e30 as a track toy. So far its lowered 60/40 with spax adjustable dampeners, striped the interior out, and threw some tyres on it and an LSD of which i have no idea of the ratio, i was told it is from an m30?!

I have been into classic fords since day dot. I currently run a mk1 escort 2dr fairly played with and i good condition. I did a few trackdays init and decided i'd be gutted if i stuffed it into the tire wall. So when i came across this e30 for £500 i snapped it up.
I would like to do an engine upgrade and have had a good scout about the site but am totally lost with all the M50, M20, M10, etc speak. Would someone please enlighten me!
I came across a m535i engine off the fleabay - you guys prob seen it. The guy said it was 240hp, is that right! It went really cheap so thought it be a good conversion.

Anyway i look forward to chatting and hopefully meeting some you lot on here.

Andy :D

yep, e28 is early 5 series, e34 replaced it. e36 was the replacement 3 series for the e30.
