being a complete t*t with ref to my problems with the Turbo Setup...

Why name and shame..well people can read this hopefully and see how we 'Dont' do things in this community..

We both got sharked by Rich aka 'Tourindaddy' in ref to him buying the car and me buying the Turbo... Rich pulled out but didnt tell either one of us and still hasnt spoke to me till this day to explain why..

So we had problems with getting the car down here which there were costs included as it was trailered..

Orig plan was to do the conversion up Jon's untill the last min then it was decided to bring the car down to me as parents wanted it off the drive..that wasnt my decision and any cost occured through fuel was not my problem...Jon kindly helped do the conversion, 75% infact but again this was also part of the package with him fitting and me staying at his..

So..

Turbo is fitted, everything plumbed in as Jon wanted as it came from his into mine..weekend to do the conversion...before i even purchased this unit i make clear that if i had any problems would he help..yes was his reply..with my ltd knowledge i wouldnt of took this unit if either he didnt fit it or he didnt agree to help should problems arise..tbh i thought that would be mandatory but id thought id ask anyway..

We drove the car 2 miles when Jon was here...i say again 2 miles! only and since then the car has been sat outside and started now and then to charge battery..reason is i had no rims..ian hartge from this site lent me some bottletops a few days ago so i could atleast enjoy my new Mod...then all hell breaks lose..if youve read my posts your see why.

I ask Jon for help offereing to pay for petrol to drive the 25 mins journey as its his old unit..he knows it,he fitted it he aggred to help if probs occur..his reply...

''I feel like i've gone beyond the call of duty as it were, putting myself out to help you, but enoughs enough. Time to call it a day''

This is from 3 phone calls, 1 of which was about engine mounts..oh and btw a couple more calls were made offering Jon a pick up and lift to Aces and Gaydon..this was long before these probs came to light as i looked at him as a friend, weve had a laugh etc etc.. tis the sort of thing you do is it not?

that reply was 2 lines from a huge PM to me with breakdowns of cost involved cuz of trailer,oh and his dad taking time of work to pick the car up to drive back..em didnt you say you wanted to do it here..i also told you that Rich was starting to Fook around..

Yer outa line Jon..period

No way in hell would i sell a turbo unit to someone then shut the door in his face when it fooks up after only 20-30 miles of using the dam thing! and that goes for outher Zoners ive talked to too..A drive,a phone call..that is all i wanted..it was afterall part of the deal..

P.S send me my dam 2.5 injectors back x 6 that you have in 'your tool box'..post them too if i were you

P.s.s Even if i was a cold hearted pri*k who said ' sold as seen m8' id still offer to fkin help you out..this isnt Ebay

Lets keep it cool guys.............

Debate is gonna go ahead but keep it in perspective.

Secondly I have six 2.5 injectors you can pick up (free) to help you out. You have my mobile number.

Thirdly, help might yet come your way from a turbo-minded Zoner.

Stay cool Carl.

jams

how much did you pay for this settup?

about £600? you said jon put about 75% into fitting it. have you not considered his labour?

what if you were to go to tdi, or prism to get a settup like this? you wouldnt get no change from 3k i would have thought.

you said "with my ltd knowledge i wouldnt of took this unit if either he didnt fit it or he didnt agree to help should problems arise". to be honest, if that the case then you shouldnt have got involved in anything like this.

i dont think people should use this "community" tag when things go to pot.

hopefully ant can sort things out. :)

Well maybe its just me then..cuz he helped me fit it as that was part of the 'Deal' and cuz i dont hanve any knowledge of Turbo setups then im in the wrong here then... silly me

Prism,Tdi... no i wouldnt go there, why cuz of the cost

your missing the point here..

This was brought from here at the zone from someone i knew i could trust (and has a good reputation or atleaset i know no reason not to trust him) and also was brought because he was going to help me fit it as well as the surport should anything go wrong... all this was agreed to before the purchase and it donest matter if it cost 700 or 7000...

If i had to fit it myself i wouldnt of bothered..you with me
If i knew i wouldnt get help i wouldnt of bothered..with me there too?

Your saying cuz of the price i shouldnt expect the things that i thought i was and also agreed on getting BEFORE i agreed on the deal

Also Jonb what your saying cuz you sold a car to cheap to a zoner and you aslo helped him get it to where he was/lived which cost you your time or 'labour' as you put it... you wouldnt help him if 10 miles up the road it fell apart in whatever way, shape or form... you would say 'F*k it i helped get it to yer house ffs'

?

Wont answer anymore crap replys like that cuz im more than pi$$ed off already.. and i can see this going tits up already

well you know what im going to say......but i wouldnt use"fuck it i helped get it to yer house".

but thats a totally different example. if was to fit this turbo conversion(which was plucked from jons car) to someones car i would give a guarantee, i will also hand them a bill for 2.5k.

it was a verbal "deal". that means nothing. in my eyes jon has done alot.

just take it to ant. he will sort it, its probably something simple.

im just voiceing my opinion. before other monkeys get involved and start calling him a cunt, etc etc.

guess not

And tell me.. if that setup was 700quid instead of 2.5k as you stated.. would you still not give that same sort of guarantee to someone here?? even though it was YOU that priced the item to be sold and YOU that said your fit it etc etc etc as part of the package..

I see where your coming from Jonb.. comes down to money, personly id give the same surport if its was 70,700,7k if it was me that sold it,fitted it and it was someone whom i know or know off

But as the thread has clearly shown already..were all different
