His description on Ebay was not exactly what the car was.

I know it's my fault, but then I'm just trying to warn people about him.

"body work is in exceptional condition as is the interior. a couple of very minor dents (trolley dings). there is no rust at all on the arches and only very slight and i mean slight, surface rust below the rear window."

There was/ is rust on the lH turret/Drivers Door edge/sills/rear gate/arches

And a badly retrimmed driver's seat ( Comfort cover over a recaro seat)

I spent 9 hours driving this thing back from Stirling.. it never stopped tapping! I have a strange suspicion that the manifold IS holed (It blows out the back of the manifold, near the bulkhead)

bilstein suspension kit I'm not sure how to check this.. but it does seem lowered.. but floaty!

600 for teh car, 60 in gas, 60 in airfare.. 720 all told. Its ok.. but I just sold mine which was a belter compared to this one.. for pitance!!

I HAVE NO RBS NEAR ME, I DON'T GET TIME OFF, I DON'T HAVE INTERNET BANKING AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I WAS GETTING SCREWED ROUND WITH MONEY FROM MY END. AND YES HE WAS OVERSEAS BUT SAID HE WOULD BE BACK ON MONDAY. HE HAD 7 DAYS TO COLLECT THE CAR AND TOOK HIM 2 WEEKS. I MISSED OUT ON 2 CARS BECAUSE OF HIS FUCKING ABOUT! A TOTAL PEST ON THE PHONE.

did you do the repaneling on the drivers seat? or was it done at the well known "wonder & charles retrims".

i didn't even notice it was done. think i must have cataracts judging by all the faults that have been found!

im sitting on the fence here. as i think colin really cant moan to much as it was his own gamble because he bought a car from ebay. although he had to take the car as he sent you the money via bank transfer but i degress. he really shouldnt have took the car.

but i must admit the add for the car was tripe.....

the engine conversion was done by ray charle"s dog, with a hammer. the lump was an early type. plucked from a crome turd. along with the cooling system. theres about 4 broken manifold studs too.

i think i will finish there as i dont want to be taking the piss out of colins car. i did enough of that the other day.

as for the eye test. yes, you should take that up. along with a bullshit test.

Yes.. well if you read the very first 3 lines fuzzy.. And I don't know how much the locks are worth.. i said offers didn't I? I'm not going to screw zoners round.. i hate that I as I have that done to me before.

Im merely pointing out that your description was not as true in reality. It is a good car, it pulls strong, but there's no reverse lights ( As I found out the otehr day and I don't know where the cable is/comes from), the manifold DOES blow.. as I thought by your description.. it doesn't and had to endure 9 hours of going insane because of it. How it got thru MoT I 'll never know. No reverse lights, blown LH front shock ( Which I found out later when it was on the 4 post to see the blown manifold) and the rust on the turret.. which I found out doesn't go thru the metal. Oh.. and the exhaust flanges ( that bolt together) one is cracked right thru.

Oh.. the drivers high beam is more search light than road light!

I'm over the whole thing. I bought the car, I have to deal with it. I know that it is my fault I bought it, BUT.. I'm just saying that you described something that wasnt really true. NOT once have I slagged you off or defamed and belittled you.

BUT.. I have a question for you..

Do you know the paint code for the car? I need to get some body work done ( Very rusty tailgate) and need to match the paint.

and all i'm trying to say is i genuinely didn't know about all these faults with the car. if i did i would have listed them. if i was trying to hide anything i wouldn't have listed all the "known" faults with the car. as for the paint code i'll try and find out and let you know.
