Has anyone ever used one of those electric pollishing machines on their cars? Are they any good?
I'm contemplating buying one from aldi this thursday, it runs on mains and is only a tenner. It spins at 3000rpm apprently which sounds fast?
Just not sure if it's going to do more harm than good!
I normally use autoglym super-resin pollish and then extra gloss protection if that makes any difference.

Don't bother with any of those cheap polisher things. You want a polisher like this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... mot_widget
I bought this exact one a while ago and it's a very good machine.

i was talking about the one in the ebay link!!!!!
porter cable.unless you have experience using a rotary or have something to gain experience on then porter all the way
itslike this
put a rotary on a panel and turn on
put loads of pressure on to rotary onto panel and it will just keep spinning on the spot
it WILL burn through the paint to metal
do the same with a porter and it will stop turning and far less heat generated as they spin off centre
only way you will cause damage with a porter is if you throw it at the panel!!
