can some one remind if GC is a combo polish and wax i.e best of both ? whereas using the megs 3 stage......stage 2 would be pure polish and stage 3 pure wax?

Gold Class liquid wax has some cleaners in it, but its not a polish by any means.

And the Megs stuff - forget Step 2 as a polish, despite the label. Its a glaze which should be applied after a polish - it has no abrasives at all. Megs Step 3 wax is as shite as it gets - doesn't last at all.

I got some of this recently, haven't done much with it other than a very quick whiz over a Peugeot 106 that was up for sale and the owner wanting it cheering up (for not a lot of money). It gave a good result, putting some life and shine back into the paint. I applied it with a machine, but it should do the trick with some elbow grease.

Of course, its not going to acutally remove much in the way of swirls/scratches (except maybe on the softest of French paint), but will certainly give a lift. I'd still recommend a decent pure wax over the top of it.
