hiya mate,
i've always cleaned seats with very watered down (hot water mind) bleach. i've got to clean my own IS seats in the next few days myself and thats what i'll be using. it'll also in your case kill the mould bacteria which should get rid of some of the smell too.

You would need a shit load of silica to soak that up.

hire a rug doctor and proper cleaning fluid and clean them properly and make sure you get a cover that allows the air to circulate.................a solution of bicarbonate of soda will kill any smell...

Surely bleach would be too strong even if watered down?

I'd just rattle the seats out and get them in the bath!

jesus325iTouring did this, made some difference!

my cat peed on the back seat of a previous vehicle with cloth seats and it STANK tried everything ...next door neighbour suggested this so i tried it,...got some bicarb from the baking section in local supermarket and made up a solution and then soaked the seats in it...smell went...end of story...if it can shift cat pee it can shift anything :D

i've always got on with it, just water it down alot and stick lots of very hot water in and scrub away. sounds like this bicarbonate idea is popular though i've never tried it but it's also practically free so try that instead if you're not fussed on bleach.

its not for cleaning ...just to get rid of smells...i still think the best way is a proper wet and dry machine with pro cleaning fluids..used one on my fiat and the water definitely changed colour..and you can clean the headlining too..its what the garages use

I used to use a product called Ambersil Groom. It's a foaming product so tends to lift the dirt out and not leave a watermark that you get with "wet" cleaners.

A soft nail brush is good for getting into the fibres, then blot off with a towel.
